Non-Linear Narratives
High School
9 - 12
Students will create, at a minimum, a single drawing where its contents utilize diagrams and poetry to write a personal narrative about a personal moment of experiencing injustice. Students will be introduced to the work of Jim Rosenberg’s Diagram Poems as inspiration for this project, and will be encouraged to mimic his style of non-linear poetic forms, but will have the freedom to explore other forms of non-linear poems as well. Students will scan their drawings Google C in PDF format and submit it to Google Classroom. Then, students will choose one digital file from a fellow student in order to complete a mini critique feedback form via google classroom.
